SOOoo it isn't the new year quite yet, but i figured i'd switch it up anyway.

Christmas came and went. I got plenty of things I'd put on my list, but not what I wanted most of all [see below post].

I did get a phone call from him on Christmas though. Better than nothing right?!



Friday night I went to a Christmas party and we played Dirty Santa. C & D got to take home The Clapper

I traded a cheap nasty bottle of wine for a voice changing toy. I'm a total kid at heart.

My plans for tonight: silly television [best commercials of 2007, real world, and newport harbor] then a little Nicholas Sparks reading and sleep. I've got work in the morning because some lame *&%$# decided NOT to do his job, but still take this week off. : ) I'm not bitter at all.

All I Want for Christmas...

but i'd live w/out all of those things if i just had the ♥ of my life [Mr. GBC] back. I'd do anything to have that boy in my life again.

i've been studying so much the last couple of days that i mixed up my abbreviations earlier and wrote Kontracts. Not, K, not contracts. But, Kontracts.
Seriously?

I picked up Starbucks yesterday morning, and while I was waiting for my chai to cool down enough for me to drink i perused Pottery Barn. The catalog is 10x better. I did fall in love w/ a Christmas ornament, 'cept it was $14. I couldn't do it.



oh well.

the new alvin & the chipmunks movie?! the trailer is hilarious.



my bff's brother is in the marines and is coming home from iraq this month; earlier than expected but he got a promotion and so he gets to go to sniper school now, instead of staying over in iraq until april. he only gets to come home for a week before he leaves to go to school but at least he won't be overseas. : )

only 14 days until christmas, and 6 days until bff's birthday. gotta finish christmas shopping and pick up the rest of his present.



break's over, back to distinguishing b/t offer and acceptance, consideration, and unjust enrichment

Spotted: T extremely crammed busy with outlines, contracts, torts, res ipsa loquitur, unjust enrichment, battery, promissory estoppel, consideration....
For the next two weeks she'll be so busy with studying that makeup will be rare, and her hair will ALWAYS be up in a messy ponytail; probably with mismatched clothes and tennis shoes. Little sleep, lots of studying.




bad news: only 1 week until her first law school final
good news: only 2 weeks until winter break (aka, first semester of law school over)

she's ready for christmas shopping, sweater/scarf weather, and no homework, being able to catch up on her tv shows, and reading all the books she's bought that she hasn't be able to read. most of all, she wants to sleep. long long hours of sleep, and then wake up and take naps. long naps. hopefully, she won't get so stressed out, her ADD won't get outta control, and she won't flunk.

she's already wrote her letter to santa, all she wants is a new pair of black mary jane heals, good grades on her final exams, and bryan back. santa should be able to pull through, right?

i've got a RWA assignment calling my name; that, or it's the bed/pillow/fluffy blanket. Does it really matter?

School= crap. double crap. double dog dare crap.
Only 24 more days until winter break.

Gossip Girl is an official obsession. I once was against Mr. Chuck Bass, now he's a favorite; his scarf too.
Also, October Road starts up again next week.

Everything is all holiday-like EVERYWHERE. I'm not complaining, but isn't it a little early? Or maybe I just never paid attention before.

the weather is unpredictable, which is actually, ironically very predictable. It's not odd for the heat/ac/heat/ac to come on several times throughout the day. I don't know what i'll do when "layering" is no longer a style.

i honestly don't mind taking my 10yr old sister trick-or-treating; i really don't.

BUT people! I'm NOT her mother!

I don't even look my age, how in the heck do i look old enough to have a kid who's in the same generation as those little kiddies obsessed with hannah montana and high school musical!

what i want

it seems pretty simple.

i want to graduate law school, w/ a good job, or the potential for a really really great job; just an opportunity for a great job would be phenomenal.

i also want a house, i'm not really picky; well, except i want it to be like the house in the notebook. at least on the outside, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, w/ a wrap-a-round porch downstairs and upstairs.

i also would like a noah.

now, those of you who haven't seen the notebook, (which is insane for me to believe, b/c it's one of the greatest movie EVA!) may not know who noah is.

it's not necessarily the looks. (i'll admit ryan gosling is pretty hot).
it's his whole attitude and personality.
he loved that girl.
that's all i want, is a guy that can stand up, in front of everyone and as crazy as it may sound, tell the whole world he is in love with me.
through everything. the fights, the drama, the pain-in-the-ass moments.
when i'm moody, when i'm sad, when i'm happy, when i'm ___.
he did the absolute most to prove to that girl that he loved her, even though he wasn't sure whether she still loved him or not.

i know, i know. it's a movie based on a fictionial book. i get it, there's not a perfect guy.

but noah wasn't perfect.
he was a pain-in-the ass some of the time. those moments bring character to a relationship. i enjoy the fights, it makes the making up even better.

i just want a guy that will show me as much care, attention, effort as i show him.

and i'm not saying i'm a perfect girlfriend.
(mostly b/c i'm not)

but, i can be pretty awesome. if i care about you enough, to spend my life with you, then i'm going to do whatever it takes to make you happy.

now. i just need to find a noah. shouldn't be too hard right? he's out there? right? somewhere?
i can get over not having him tomorrow, or next week, or even a year from now; but if there was some way to know, that he was out there, it'd make my life (especially right now) easier to handle and deal with.

b/c for the last three weeks, i've changed my mind a thousand times as to why someone would take away someone who i thought was my noah. whether he was, or is, or probably (more than likely) not...i just am still getting used to being allie...
